Weekend Shot: Dapple Afternoon

It was a beautiful weekend in the Great State of New Jersey, made more so by my youngest son’s first birthday on Sunday. That’s not him above. Above is my middle child, Chase.
While my wife did all the running around for Sunday’s party on Saturday, I took the kids to explore Washington Crossing State Park.
They obviously don’t get the historial significance of the place, but it’s a wonder park with plenty of walking trails, especially pretty in the Fall. I did shoot some of the requisite autumnal “Hey kids, throw the leaves in the air!” shots – always fun.
After a while of running and climbing and playing, Chase sat down for a rest. The way the dappled sunlight played was fantastic, and put him in the spotlight. I just had enough time for this quick snap.
Canon S95 + dapppled sunlight + Nik Silver + one almost 2 1/2 little boy = This Weekend Shot.
