By day, I’m an experienced corporate communicator. And while I like what I do, I have three main passions – my family, my cooking and my photography, and I try to combine them whenever I can. I am a “visual raconteur” based in the Great State of New Jersey. I enjoy shooting food, theater, landscape (both rural and urban) and have a special interest in “noir” photography – think old Humphrey Bogart and Veronica Lake movies. To me there is noir, and then there’s Jersey Noir.™
I’ve been blessed to work with a number of professional photographers who have undoubtedly influenced my images and love of photography. Joe McNally once told me to “put your camera in a different place” and that’s what I try to do with my photographs. I like taking an object or scene that people may see every day and bringing it to new life. I also enjoy photographing people be it on stage or on the street, often using just natural light.
