Friday Noir: The Knock At The Door

What a way to start the day.

Or end the day for that matter.

There’s a knock at the door.

You put down your glass of whiskey, but don’t pick up your gat.

Why would you? All’s been quiet. For a bit.

You undo the chain, and turn the knob. It feels cold in your hand.

The hinges creak.

And he’s standing at the door.

Just firing up the Lucky, apparently.

It’s all down hill from there.

Where’s that whiskey….

More from the PhotoFlex Litedome shoot of last weekend. f5/6, ISO 160 with a 1/8th sec exposure at 47mm. My Canon 430EX Speedlight was set on Manual and 1/8th power. A FlashZebra TTL cord connected the flash to my camera. Cooled it off in Camera Raw and used Nik Tonal Contrast for the final finish. A tighter crop gave me the look I like.
