Roadside Remembrance

We all pass these roadside remembrances every day.

Nameless, faceless…crosses and flowers and teddy bears.

Someone is remembering a loved one.

Most come and go.

I’ve passed this on every day for nearly four years now. It gets refreshed on a regular basis – new flowers, sometimes a new wreath.

All seasons, all weather.

I did some research on this one. It’s a story that starts out sad and perplexing, and ends even sadder still.

Many lives were changed at this spot.

Let’s hope the remembrance continues.
