High Key Three
Sometimes even sitting at a red stop light presents a photo opportunity.
Caught this scene last week. I like the symmetry of it all, and was able to press a couple of quick clicks before the light turned green. Good thing the 50D was next to me.
In post, I went into Nik Silver and dropped it into the Overexpose+1 filter. Using the blue filter darkened some of the light areas – like the leaves of the shrubs.
The end result is a high-key, almost artistic image.
Not a bad way to spend the three minutes between the red and green light, eh?
The moral here is…always be ready.
