Last week, Mumbai executed by hanging the last of the terroritsts involved in the 2008 attacks across the city of Mumbai.
Apologies for the cheeky title to this post – the murder of 160 people is never cheeky.
I visited Mumbai in 2009, just a year after the attacks. Stayed at the Taj Mahal Hotel, which was set on fire.
I also visited Victoria Terminus train station, which is where I photographed Juliet, above.
It’s a grand station, much hustle and bustle, full of dash and color.
Much like Mumbai.
Now, as you can see, a big security camera watches over all of VT.
When I saw the article about Mohammed Ajmal Kasab, I had to go back to some of my photos from that trip to India. It left an indelible impression on me.
“Got what he had coming to him” could be a suitable expression here.
Whatever the case, maybe the people of Mumbai can now start to close that chapter in the city’s grand history.
