Salvation Deep In The Pine Barrens
Driving to and from Ocean City, New Jersey, a couple of weeks ago, our route took us deep into the heart of the Pine Barrens. I always enjoy journeying down through these parts of New Jersey. It’s quiet and calm and serene. And a bit spooky to.
The NJ Pine Barrens is the alleged home to the alleged Jersey Devil. There was even a humorous subplot to a Sopranos episode where Tony’s crew, out of their urban element, get lost for a while in the Pine Barrens while trying to dispose of a body
Came across the little church deep in the heart of the Pine Barrens.
If anyplace needs a little Divine Intervention, Warren Grove, New Jersey, puts up a good case.
Because of it’s proximity to the Warren Grove Gunnery Range, a military practice range, and the East Coast National Guard, this little town has accidentally been bombed, straffed, set on fire and shelled.
If it weren’t so serious it would be funny.
