Weekend Shot: Working In The Fields
It’s getting to be that time around these parts. School is back in session, evenings are getting cooler, corn fields are going from green to brown, leaves are just about starting to turn.
And other fall crops are starting to be harvested.
Doesn’t matter if it’s Sunday and the NFL is back. Nope, you gotta grab the crates and get behind the truck. Bend down low, strain your back, get your sneakers dirty.
This shot, from Sunday, reminds me a bit of one from late October last Fall, just before Sandy hit.I spent a lot of time with my kids both days this weekend, and yes, got some nice portraits.
But this one jumped out at me, not just for the colors but because of what it represented to me. While millions were out tailgating and dropping cash down for the NFL Experience, there’s that subset of America that keeps on working, no matter the day.
If the sun is out, they gotta get it done.
Beautiful Sunday + hard work + Nik HDR = This Weekend Shot
