Weekend Shot: After The Bear Hunt
My kids have been bugging me to go on a bear hunt lately.
I think it’s because we read this book.
So, this past Saturday, so that my wife could get some things done around the house, we went on a bear hunt.
Well, first we went to a diner for lunch. Then we went to Washington Crossing State Park for the bear hunt.
Olivia was armed with her pirate sword.
Chase had his stick.
Matt, well, he didn’t have anything. I think he started with a stick, too, but soon got bored of carrying it.
We tromped up the Continental Lane path. We thought we heard bears (or it could have been Dad throwing rocks into the bushes as he pulled up the rear.)
But, alas, no bears were found. Thankfully.
Still, the kids had a good time. They splashed in a stream and we got ice cream to commiserate the lack of anything in the family of Ursidae.
I shot the above as Liv was making her way back to the car. Liked the cloud formation and the how the trees and sky give perspective to Liv.
And not a bear in sight.
Beautiful summer day + great clouds + one kid = This Weekend Shot
