Weekend Shot: Design By Isosceles
Sorry for the lack of Visual Week In Review this past Saturday. Friday afternoon, me and the kids drove up to visit my parents in Northeast Pennsylvania while my wife did the Pennsylvania Spartan Sprint on Saturday.
There’s no wireless at my parent’s house, just a landline and I didn’t feel like going through the trouble to connect. Anyway, though, it was a busy weekend visiting with “Grandma and Pop” and I was worn out by the end of the day.
Saturday, me and the kids took a drive to Harveys Lake, PA, a lake resort town about 10 or 15 miles from my parents house. I haven’t been up and around the lake in about 25 years, maybe longer. Frankly, I had forgotten how pretty it is up there.
Me and the kids drove around the lake once, just to get a lay of the land. Then we drove around again so that I could take some photos. I was enthralled by this cottage that was for rent. Such a cool design. Wish I could have gone inside to see it.
And you gotta like a place that, on their website, has a section for “Famous Murders” and “Myths and Legends.”
As usual, it was a good visit to see the folks. I enjoy taking the kids to place I went to when I was young, as it helps me reconnect as well.
Oh, and really proud of my wife: She kicked butt at the very tough PA Spartan Sprint, finishing in a time of 3 hours and 54 minutes. She said she gave every obstacle a shot, even if she failed. For that, though, she was a winner.
And a Spartan.
