Friday Noir: Road To Ruin
The keys to the kingdom seemed to be just hanging right there, no?
Then a simple diversion, a left instead of a right, and look where you ended up.
It’s always interesting the turns life takes.
One bad break, one bad dame, and for the rest of it, you have the cold steel of a pistol grip in you hand.
When you finally do put it down, you can still feel the pebbled grip in your palm.
You make a lot of money but it don’t bring you happiness.
You work like a man in a real man’s life,
Take in all the trouble and strife.
Thing is, nobody changes, nobody learns anything without paying a price.
Eventually, nobody survives on the road to ruin.
