Weekend Shot: Metzkerish
On Saturday, me and the family took a drive to Bethlehem, PA. Their cousin was having a birthday party at one of those indoor bounce places.
(If you don’t have little kids, you may not know what these are. Check it out here.)
Anyway, I stepped back outside to go get something from the car. Had my little Canon S110 in my pocket, because I wanted to photograph this, actually. Liked the pantone and font.
But on the way back in, I saw this how the sun and shadow was cutting this fantastic diagonal line down this building. Reminded me of Ray Metzker’s images in Philadelphia.
You often see great light like this in cities, but I was in a pretty wide open spot here. Got lucky with this.
The only thing that would have made it better is if I could have captured a person coming out of (or going into) the shadow.
But I was happy to have seen this.
Beautiful light + beautiful shadow + Nik Silver = This Weekend Shot
