Farm Fresh Beer
A couple of weeks ago, later on Friday afternoon, we took a drive over to the next town to check out a new craft brewery there with some friends.
It was a beautiful Friday afternoon, a little windy, but not to bad. Beautiful late afternoon sun.
The name of the place is Screamin’ Hill Brewery and it pretty darn nice. They had six brews going that day, available by pint, flight or growler.
The best part it, it’s very kid and dog friendly. There’s a huge expanse of open farmland for the kids to kick a soccer ball around, play tag or just generally run themselves tired.
They say they are growing good beer because there operation is set out on a farm. In the summer, you can buy veggies here, and in the fall, there’s a corn maze and pumpkin picking.
The ale was pretty good, too. I especially liked the Habanero Ale, which surprised me.
Small business trying to make a name. Here’s hoping Screamin’ Hill makes it happen!
