Dispatches: Small-Town Parade
Last week, on Memorial Day, I had the pleasure of partaking in one of the ultimate small-town pleasures: The Allentown (NJ) Memorial Day Parade
I walked in the parade with the T-Ball team that I coach, the Hot Rods. I had my little camera (the Canon S110) with me, and tried to capture what I can, while keeping an eye on six little Hot Rodders.
We were all happy the rain held off – nothing worse than a small-town parade in the rain. It was time great to see the people lining the streets of our small town, cheering on the baseball teams, the bagpipers, the Future Farmers of America, and, of course, the veterans.
Just a little slice of #allentownnjlife.
