Yay! It’s the Summer Solstice!
And thus starts my favorite three months of the year.
Three months that represent the long days, warm nights, the outdoors, adventures of all types.
The fun and adventures started late last week when it was about 88 degrees at 7 p.m. and the kids want me to turn on the sprinkler.
We don’t have a pool (yet) so this simple act that combines spraying water and childhood fun is always a favorite.
I wanted to give my FujiX100T a try out shooting this activity, so that’s what I used here.
A little B&W, a little color, trying to see what I liked best.
Even Bo got into the act.
He was a little tentative at first, but then had a grand old time running through the sprinklers and well, trying to eat the spray.
By the end of it, he was just one wet dog, black ringlets draping his body.
(The next day, he would get a summer haircut, so all that fur is gone.)
We ended the evening with some ice pops. Now we’re all looking towards summer…having some fun…and filling the frame.
