JSP Visual Week In Review ~ 12.16.17

JSP Visual Week In Review ~ 12.16.17

Know how sometimes you have those weeks where nothing visual is happening?

Everything is a slog. Your brain never kicks into gear.

Make images? Forget it. Not happening.

The dam is stopped up and you don’t know what to do about it.

This wasn’t one of those weeks for me.

My visual and creative levels were high all week. Images came easily, no matter the camera in my hand.

Light was proper, clouds were dramatic, the air was clear and cold.

Weeks like this, I wish I could bottle and pop the cork during those subpar weeks.

But, you can only go with what you got. Like a basketball player, you have to keep shooting, even if you’ve hit a dry patch.

Because, suddenly, the balls start going in the basket.

Or, in my case, I shoot some images that I’m happy with.

And it all comes easy.

Until the next week, of course….

Birthdays this week: Benjamin West Kilburn, Nikki Sixx, O. Winston Link, Brett Weston

What I Finished The Week: The Pearl Harbor Murders

What I’m Reading This Week: The Big Book of Christmas Mysteries

What I watched this week: Kiss Kiss Bang Bang

And also: Ansel Adams: A Documentary on YouTube

(In case you’re wondering, since I work from home now, my visual media players have increased. It’s background while I’m working.)
