This was the scene in the parking lot of Tractor Supply Company at about 1 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon.
I had to run in to get some guinea pig food for Monty and Jake, my daughter’s two.
Fast-forward about 7 hours…
The big river birch tree in front of our house looked more like a weeping willow as some branches touched the ground due to the heavy, wet snow.
We (all five of us) dug out the driveway in the late afternoon, and I did some touch-up work after dinner.
Later, around 10:30 p.m., I put 200 lbs of rock salt in the back of my truck so that I had some traction. Made a run out to an elderly couple about 10 miles away who’s power was out. They couldn’t get their generator started. Luckily, I was able to get it fired up.
Today, I made a snowman on our diving board.
Is it summer yet?
