JSP Visual Week In Review ~ 12.01.18
And here we are.
The last page of the calendar.
Whew. 2018 is flying by.
But, we’re not done yet. Still plenty of clicks left in the year, though this was a low shooting week for me.
As you can see above, I did set up the home studio for some portraits. I recently picked up some new seamless backdrop stands from Savage Universal, and I really like them. They are light-weight, but very stable when setting them up.
Generally, At about $200, they aren’t that expensive (I hate when reviewers say that – how do they know what’s expensive to me and what isn’t?) but they are A LOT more sturdy than my older rickety stands, which were much cheaper.
Plus, because I use Savage backdrop paper, I wanted the stands made for the background I use. That was the issue – the heaviness of paper roll created havoc with the older stands.
So, anyway, there was that. And I had a great two-hour conversation with a potential new head shot client, a conversation that helped me look at what I want to do with that end of my “business” in 2019.
But, before that, there’s a lot of 2018 left. Beginning tomorrow when I’ll be doing an interesting shoot “on set” of a television show.
