Night Moves
New York at night is a special place.
People out and about.
Or maybe not.
The zsssssssshhhh of traffic on wet streets.
The loud silence of something waiting to happen.
Or of something that just ended.
Alone in a city of 8 million people.
You stroll along, have a train to catch. Your mind wanders, and for a sec, you forget where you are.
Oh yeah.
Gotham.

Alas, I only go into NYC for work, and I’m always down in the Financial District. I don’t have a reason to be there after 5PM, and I need to get the ferry back to JC for my car.
I haven’t done too much night shooting in NYC. Your images make me feel like snapping a Fujinon XF27mm F2.8 onto my X-T2 and trying out this Cine 800T Film Simulation by Ritchie Roesch for that “cinema” look; primarily for use with Tungsten lights.
Well done, Mark, well done.
Thank you, Zoltan. It was one of those great nights.
