Stolen Car Under A Super Moon
And I’m driving a stolen car
On a supermoon night
And I’m telling myself I’m gonna be alright
But I ride by night and I travel in fear
That in this darkness I will disappear..”
~ Stolen Car by Bruce Springsteen
OK, Bruce says pitch black night rather than supermoon night
Walking Bo last night, I saw the supermoon rising and it bothered me.
Because I never can do good moon shots.
Lens isn’t right. Hand shakes. Just never good shots.
But I had to try to get something anyway. So Bo and I climbed into the truck and drove out of the neighborhood a ways.
Not far, just to give me something to work with.
Only took my Fuji X100T with me. Another mistake, probably.
The moon on the darkening sky just wasn’t doing it for me.
Then a lone car went by and I liked it.
But I had to wait…and wait…and wait…for another car to go by. Route 524 isn’t too busy anyway, but in this time of COVID, it was even less so.
So, we were out there a good 25 minutes. And for much of that time, we were listening to another Springsteen on (on E Street Radio), The New Timer.
Finally, we got a couple of cars coming an going.
I like the B&W one better – better mood, better tone.
Still, not a great supermoon photo. More work to do.
