JSP Visual Week In Review ~ 04.25.20
I turn 50 today.
That’s a big number.
A lot of days have passed.
A lot of water on this bridge.
I don’t normally let the age thing bother me. It is what it is. Can’t stop the passage of time.
But this one does give me pause.
And who would have thought I’d be celebrating it with a shelter-in-place order.
But, this is live now. As with everyone, it’s been a long and winding road. Ups and downs for sure.
I have a wife that loves me, three beautiful kids, two dogs, a good career and a passion that brings me joy. I’m not missing out and I’m not leaning in too far.
I’m happy where I am.
There’s a lot to be said for that.
This Week’s Links:
(Note: I’m seeing a lot of post and articles and links going to essays on empty streets, how photojournalists are coping, “porch portraits. These are all valuable and well and good. But…I’m getting oversaturated with all that. I can’t keep clicking on those links, or sharing them here.)
What I Read This Week: Almost done with Farewell, My Lovely and plugging along with The First Deadly Sin, though I think I’m going to bail on it soon. Very slow.
What I Watched This Week: Double Indemnity. I also finished up the seventh season of Bosch on Amazon Prime. A slow-burn of a show. Well acted.

Happy 50th Birthday: Jason Lee, skateboarder, actor, photographer.
“If the photographer is interested in the people in front of his lens, and if he is compassionate, it’s already a lot. The instrument is not the camera but the photographer.” ~ Eve Arnold, who had a birthday this week.
Please stay safe everyone! Wash Your Hands!
