Born To Run At 45

Still Runnin at 40

Today marks the 45th anniversary of the classic rock ‘n roll album, Born To Run.

Five years ago on this date, I headed down to Asbury Park in the attempt to shoot 40 portraits of people holding the BTR album.

Eric Meola was the photographer who shot that classic cover. It was a thrill to meet him in 2015.

After I did the photo project, and had the poster made, I sent him one. He sent back a really nice email thanking of me for doing that.

To celebrate the 45 anniversary, there’s a contest to win a new Springsteen-based book by Eric. That would look nice on my bookshelf!

So, go listen to one of the greatest rock albums of all time, and especially my favorite song off that album, the majestic, operatic, summer storytelling supreme, Backstreets.
