JSP Visual Week In Review ~ 04.03.21

How happy I would be again
Oh, If I could live April again
If only I could live April again
How happy I would be again

~ April Again, Dean Martin

Ok, April!

Again.

We leave one of my most un-favorite months and head into one of my most-favorite months.

New growth, rebirths, my daughter’s birthday.

Baseball season.

Lots of good stuff happening this month, at least usually so.

Hoping for the same this year.

Myself, I’ve re-dedicated myself to a fitness program. Did pretty good in March, but need to keep it going.

I’d like to plans to shoot some portraits, but with COVID again on the rise in NY and NJ, I still want to be cautious. Still not vaxxed, hope to get one soon. That would increase my comfortability.

How about you out there? Any plans? I know it’s been hard, but try to get out, get back into it as best you can.

Maybe try shooting something new – macro only, food only, B&W only. Or use just one lens – the 35, the 50, a long zoom.

Do photowalks around your town or city or nature trail, but look…realllllly look. Find something new.

And shoot it.

Or just put it into the memory bank.

It’s a time of re-birth.

And backing up!

Don’t forget to backup your March work!

  1. The end of March and start of April is a mixed bag. A bunch of things are still in motion. The good news is I got my second jab a week ago and my wife and mother-in-law had their first jabs with a second jab already booked. Work is continuing with no relaxation of protocols. Mowing and yard work yesterday told me I need to be doing more than I have been doing in the pandemic. And, if the plans hold, retirement is a little over a year away. Other things are too fluid to comment on. And a somewhat negative is that allergy season is upon us. With being able to get out , it’s not a bad tradeoff.
