World Bee Day

Since today is World Bee Day, I’m thinking back to a shoot I did about seven years ago now.

I had found out a colleague kept bees on the campus I was working out of. I found it interesting that the company allowed it, but when I looked into it, it was even more interesting.

Back in 2014, I blogged all about it.

Since, then, though, I’ve been on a number of our campuses that also have bee apiaries on them. Along with planting wildflowers, it’s been part of my company’s initiative to help restore the bee population.

When I was at our campus in Cork, Ireland, I saw that they have bee apiaries and a pollinator program going on there too.

In fact, all my photos are being used by my company today, to help  highlight these efforts.

It’s a beee-utiful thing, no?
