JSP Visual Week In Review ~ 12.18.21
Here we are, a week before Christmas.
Well, six days now, really.
I gotta say….I’m not really in the holiday spirit this year.
It’s been a pretty lousy year, all things considered, for me.
Leslie and I separated.
My dad passed away.
COVID is spiking again. Even though I’m double vaxxed and boosted, I’m wary about going out again.
I’ve passed up shooting two shows and going out to a couple of holiday dinners because I want to see my kids and my mom later this week and next for the holidays.
No sense in chancing getting a breakthrough and then really being quarantined.
Or bringing something to Mom who’s 81.
So, yeah, I’m kinda muddling through.
Me and Liv spent last Sunday in Philly (top right corner pic), and it was cool to hang in the festive city atmosphere with her. She’s been with me all week as her mom came down with C19 earlier in the week. As she wasn’t really around her mom much, I shanghi’ed her back to my apartment so that she could still go to school in person.
I thought maybe having her here with force me to get some decorations. But so far,. no.
I haven’t even watched A Christmas Carol – the 1951 version though the George C. Patton one is pretty good to – yet. Usually one of favorite watches of the season.
Blast of Silence – set at Christmas time – seems more apt for me this Xmas though.
Anyway, it’s been a year.
On the plus side, I’ve jumped on my New Year’s Resolution, to drop a few pounds (ok, like 20) and get in better shape, a few weeks early. My diet has improved and my workouts have been consistent. Not looking for quick wins, but just grinding out the roadwork, as the say. Here’s to that!
Hope all are tucked in and staying safe. Get your shopping done, enjoy some time for yourself amidst all the hullabaloo.
