JSP Visual Week In Review ~ 07.16.22

It’s mid-July here in New Jersey…and where you are too.

For many of us, it’s hot and it’s humid and disgusting.

Summer in New Jersey.

For my friend in Australia, Andrew Nette, it’s winter.

Other days…the mornings are clear, and the evenings have a breeze.

I take walks.

Still.

Ever since the day after Thanksgiving 2021, when I started.

More than 2 million steps, according to my tracker.

I look forward to my morning walks, my podcast listens.

And these hot, disgusting summer days in New Jersey.

This weekend, me and the boy went into the woods to pick deep red raspberries, the sweetest ones.

But Blackberries too.

Some still sour, but many very sweet.

Matty is practicing his wheelies on his bike in my apartment parking lot.

We went to the beach and played mini-golf.

Chase won. I shot a 60. Took second.

Liv is teaching herself crocheting. She’s making a scarf, for New Jersey months down the road.

Summer.

New JerseyStyle.

This Week’s Links:

What I Watched: Nothing really. Just baseball.

What I Read: A Bright Ray of Darkness by Ethan Hawke. Yes, second EH book in a row. Three-fourths of the way through i. Better than his first, though interestingly written. (He grew up in nearby West Windsor, took an acting class in Princeton. Jersey guy).

Speaking of: Debbie Millman interviews Ethan Hawke.

UN of Photography: There’s Nothing New In Photography

Behind The Shot TV: Complex Photoshoots with Art Streiber

V-Flat World: High Contrast Portraits

New Yorker: College classmates…then and now.

“Don’t think about making art, just get it done. Let everyone else decide whether it’s good or bad, whether they love it or hate it. While they are deciding, make even more art.” ~  Andy Warhol
