JSP Visual Week In Review
This week, I celebrated my 18th year with my company. I did a LinkedIn post about the anniversary, which, to my surprise, really struck a note with people.
I amazed at all the responses, and really honored by the ones that noted something they remembered from year ago, advice I had given, or mentoring I had done.
It’s amazing the impact we have on people’s lives. Heck, that’s the whole premise of It’s A Wonderful Life. But do we ever really stop to consider it?
Probably not, and that’s not surprising. I doubt many of us sit and think about our own importance. I know I don’t. I’d be pretty full of myself if I did.
But it is worth considering, especially if/when you’re going through a rough patch. We touch so many people in our lives and often times we don’t even know that we’re doing it.
It’s crazy when you think about it.
A kind word, a helpful suggestion, a gesture, could go a long way to helping someone.
Of course, it goes the opposite was as well.
Being mean, spiteful or petty to people can very much break them down.
Just something to consider as we move through this thing we call life.
