JSP Visual Week In Review ~ 08.27.22
Late summer.
Days are winding down for this one.
Last week, I spent some time in a beach town.
Dinner on the main drag…and on the boardwalk.
And, this week, a river town.
A colorful hotel
Hearing the cicada’s every night in the back space.
No fireflies, though.
Done for the year?
And no rain.
For weeks.
Just a sun beating down.
The ballfield is baked like adobe.
School looms.
Might be time for the change.
To move on. To water. To invigorate.
Let’s do it.

A bit of self promotion here. I listen to The Photo Walk podcast a lot. It’s usually long, over an hour. But I work it into my walks and my day.
Back in the spring Neale James spoke with former Buzzcocks frontman, John Maher, about his photography of forgotten places. This led me to sending Neal an email, with links to a few photos my photos of forgotten places…and how my love of film noir slips into them. Well, in this episode, starting around the 1:24 mark, Neale comments on my photos and even reads one of my captions. Splendidly, I might add. I’m thrilled to be part of this podcast.
