Day Of The Dead

Nicaragua, 2009.

There’s something about cemeteries, right?

A long day of shoot a family in a small town.

I didn’t do much. Basically played with the young boy – think he was four? – while the photo crew I was overseeing did what they did.

I did a little shooting myself.

All the photos are on a hard drive that corrupted and I don’t want to spend the $1,000 to get it fixed. Might need to at some point.

Anyway, heading back to the hotel from the shoot, we were passing by this cemetery.

We, in the van, all shouted for our driver to stop so that we could get a closer look.

I always think of this photo today, November 1.

Day Of The Dead.

It’s not Mexico, I know. But I still think about it.

And this gal, Philadelphia, October 30, 2014.

And this gal, Allentown, NJ, October 31, 2022.

Into November we go…
