JSP Visual Week In Review ~ 11.05.22

My heart is dancin’,
To a November tune
And I hope that you hear it,
Singing songs about you

~ November Blue, The Avett Brothers

Welcome to Winter.

We turned the clocks back last night so, to me, it’s winter.

Even thought it was 73 degrees here in NY yesterday, and will be 75 today.

Doesn’t matter. It’ll be dark early. It’s winter.

But, still a lot of foliage in my VWIR grid for sure. It’s been an amazing week, visually. Super colorful plus low fog some mornings. My walks have been awesome.

But here we are, early November, just past Halloween, Thanksgiving in the foreground, Christmas in the not-to-distant future.

I’m still trying to figure things out.

We’re not there yet, but we’re getting there.

This Week’s Links:

What I Read This Week: I started In A Lonely Place. It’s sooo good so far. Much different than the movie, though.

What I Watched This Week: My Phillies in the World Series. They didn’t win it, but it was fun ride this last month. Also, Elvis.

Phillies Memories: Me and my kids will never forget this Bryce Harper game-tying grand slam against the Angels back in June. Epic. Those tickets I got them for Christmas were the best purchase ever.

What I Listened To This Week: The James Brown Mystery (podcast via CNN)

NY Times: How To Be Bored, And What We Can Learn From It.

Halloween: Greatest Costume Ever, Photography Edition

Salon: Devin Allen on why photography is needed for social change.

CNN Style: Animal Images Up Close

Watch/Listen: Remote Photography With David Bergman on Behind the Shot.

Ray Bradbury: 1000 Night Challenge to feed your creativity (via Austin Kleon)

RIP: New Yorker cartoonist George Booth

From The JSP Archives: My Diwali Experience, November 3, 2011

That’s all for this week. Do the best that you can. Be a good human.
